Economic Development Distance Learning Consortium
Local and Regional Economic Development Course
Founded in 1999 by the Economic Development Distance Learning Consortium (EDDLC), the Local and Regional Economic Development Course is the leading distance learning course in economic development. Since its inception it has enabled hundreds of people to progress in the field of economic development and associated areas.
Offering a Postgraduate Certificate, Diploma, and MSc in Local and Regional Economic Development (LRED) recognised by the Institute of Economic Development, the EDDLC’s unique approach to study has proved beneficial to students from all ages and backgrounds. Through a flexible, modular approach it allows students a more fluid learning experience to suit their own specific needs, without the need to take time away from their employment, or travel to carry out their studies.
Provided by the Universities of Coventry, Dundee, and Sheffield Hallam in conjunction with the Institute of Economic Development Education Trust, the course encompasses a much wider spectrum of subjects and expertise than a traditional single University, with tutors who are all active practitioners.
Relevant to practitioners of economic development and urban/rural regeneration, the course is also an ideal opportunity for those wishing to move into these employment spheres and related areas. Qualifications awarded by the EDDLC enable people to progress in their careers through gaining greater understanding and confidence, contributing to their professional development, opening up opportunities for promotion and moving to new employment.
New students wishing to start at the next entry date of September 2010 must submit applications by 1st July 2010. Details on fees can be viewed by clicking link Fees
The LRED offers professionally recognised university qualifications tailored to fit each individual, delivered by highly experienced practitioners who operate in a wide range of activities - Tutors.
