Employed in Planning Policy and Urban Regeneration project work for Southampton and Cardiff councils for six years, Rob then spent a year at the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister within the Urban Policy Unit, followed by two years researching Neighbourhood Renewal and European Urban Planning and Governance at Sheffield Hallam University. His primary research interests include Urban Governance and Policy in Europe, Strategic Planning and Urban and Regional Planning, with experience gained in Belgium, Germany, Spain, Italy and Slovenia in the Re Urban Mobil cross-national project.
Rob’s qualifications include a degree in Political Science and Urban Studies, a Graduate Diploma in Economics, an MSc in Urban and Regional Planning, and a Post-graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching; he is also a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute, the Institution of Economic Development, and the Higher Education Academy.
