EDDLC Programme Leader
Module Leader: Structures, Organisations and Strategies
As the EDDLC Programme Leader, Dumiso is responsible for the academic co-ordination and management of the EDDLC, whilst also providing pastoral care for students on the course. In addition to coordinating the MSc dissertations, he also runs the Structures, Organisations and Strategies module of the course.
Formerly the Vice President of the Commonwealth Association of Planners from 1999 to 2004, Dumiso previously worked in Zimbabwe for the city of Bulawayo Town Planning Department and is a former Honorary Secretary - and later President - of the Zimbabwe Institute of Town and Regional Planners. Working for many years for the Old Mutual Property Investment Corporation, he was involved in various projects in the housing, retail, industrial and infrastructure development sector.
Currently Centre Manager for Scotland, Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland based students on the RTPI accredited learning MA in Town and Country Planning Programme run by the University of Dundee, Dumiso also holds a PhD in Town and Regional Planning from the University and is a Chartered Town Planner. Before joining the University of Dundee he lectured at the School of Geosciences at the University of Aberdeen.
